Google's 100 Outbound Link Limit
So many people say that if you have a webpage with more than 100 OBL (outbound links) that it will set off 'alarm bells' at Google.
This sometimes is the case, for site known as link farms or any site that allows anybody to add links and is constantly being spammed.
But in general is you have links that are related to your site then you should be fine. For example if you have a mobile phone related website and link to a Nokia phone website you will be fine. The only time you have to be careful is if you have excessive OBL that are completed unrelated for example a webpage with hundreds of links related to Viagra.
Anyway Google cannot really say for sure that your website is not related to another. If you had a website about say rugby and displayed various players profiles and a little info about each. You might then decide to link each players profile with a corresponding profile on the official 'rugby website'. This would not raise any problems, even if there are hundreds of outbound links.
So in my opinion you do not need to pay any attention to anyone who tells you that Google has some kind of 100 outbound link limit on each webpage.
Just make sure you keep those links relevant and useful to your reader !
